She belonged to a great friend who whilst on holiday she was hit by a loaded skip lorry and here in the uk some insurance companies return the vehicle for free …. My friend knew that because Im disabled that I’d never have the funds to purchase an American car so he donated it to me .. I pulled the original 6 cylinder and transmission donated this to a club member and replaced it with a Buick/rover 3.5v8 from 1963 and replaced the cut springs with a 4 corner air ride home brew system and while I was saving for the individual parts for that I concentrated on replacing the rotted floors and monoq I have also built a 1959 ford consul mk2 in the style of a gasser that is regularly used on the streets and was my daily driver till the rambler came along ….. she’s called Bitz N Pieces because she is literally built using what I could afford but was built with a 396+30 (402) th350 9” rear but the engine that was supposed of been rebuilt lasted 30 miles and I’ve been unable to rebuild it so to keep her rolling uses a 305sbc
