This No-Weld Smooth Firewall Panel Kit lets you achieve that clean, custom firewall finish on your 1968–1972 Chevelle or Malibu using precision-fit panels that bolt on and bond in place with industrial-grade panel bond. 

Crafted from heavy 14-gauge steel, each panel is designed for strength, fitment, and ease of installation. Because this system uses adhesive bonding instead of welding, you’ll avoid the heat distortion that can warp firewall panels.

This deluxe kit features a Vintage Air Quick Install Interface, designed to seamlessly integrate your Vintage Air evaporator unit with the new firewall. The interface mounts directly to the evaporator and secures inside the cabin using the four protruding studs that pass through the new panel—making alignment and installation simple and accurate.

Panel Installation Steps:

• Cut away unnecessary portions of the OEM firewall.

• Smooth the OEM firewall with a grinder.

• Prime both the existing firewall and the backside of the new panels using SEM EZ Coat.

• Position the provided templates over the original firewall using the included magnets, and drill holes as marked.

• Apply 3M Panel Bond to the new panels and align them, ensuring all studs pass through correctly.

• Secure the panels with the supplied nuts from inside the car.

• Finish with bodywork and paint for a seamless, custom appearance.
